About BIOLUM: Venture Biolum
brings us an immersive quest into the deepest depths of the ocean to explore the abyss through the eyes of scientific researcher Rachel, voiced by Dominique Tipper (The Expanse). Rachel is led by expedition leader Eva, a renowned marine scientist played by Charlotte · Lamplin (Denis · Villeneuve’s Dune). When we uncovered the mysteries of this bioluminescent VR underworld, it became clear that the relationship was not as simple as we thought……
Parasitic bioluminescence Rachel discovers that a luminescent parasite is infecting marine flora and fauna. As Rachel and Eva try to make sense of the science, glowing hybrid underwater monsters swim around us. Beautiful bioluminescence is wreaking havoc on natural ecosystems. How did this happen? What does this mean?
The Great Unknown Wonders of the Universe In
this VR story, nothing is as it seems. Beautiful things can quickly become contagious and can be more dangerous than you think. When Rachel is infected by these parasites, her mind and body face a mesmerizing struggle. Inspired by the beauty of deep-sea creatures, Biolum blurs the lines between biological truth and science fiction and delves into existential themes and the great unknown wonders of the universe.
Directed by Abel · Cohen and co-written by Jon · Rowe and Abel · Cohen.
Produced by IKO, Reynard Films, Prefrontal Cortex.
