About this game

Lobaki’s new Virtual Circuit Simulator (VECS) is an immersive, hands-on tool that allows students to learn electronics like never before. Through more than a dozen embedded courses, students learn the fundamentals of electricity and mechatronics by building and analyzing their own circuits. VECS can accurately simulate real-world components such as light bulbs, batteries, resistors, capacitors, switches, motors, and more. Simulations even include multimeters, allowing students to measure how circuits behave in the real world. This open experience allows students to build any circuit they want, replacing the need for expensive disposable components in a traditional lab or classroom. Circuits can be safely tested (and even blown up!) in VECS, allowing students to conduct virtual experiments before applying their skills to the real world.

VECS uses open source SPICE (Integrated Circuit Focused Simulation Programs), specifically Ngspice, a circuit simulator that numerically solves equations describing (electronic) circuits: these circuits are composed of passive and active devices. Simulate time-varying current and voltage as well as noise and small-signal behavior.

This ensures the accuracy of the analog components, so even after completing all included courses, students can continue to explore and experiment with their own custom circuits, accurately measuring voltage, current, and resistance at every step in their personal configuration.
