The protagonist of the game, Daniel, wakes up in an old castle. He doesn’t know who he is, how he got here, or what happened. The only thing he felt was a chilling sense of unease, as if something was bothering him and that he didn’t have much time left. Until he learned from a note signed with his name that he chose to forget the past in order to get rid of the severe trauma in his soul.

In order to find out what is going on, Daniel must explore the darkest corners of the castle and meet its terrifying inhabitants, who threaten him with death every time he meets them. Facing the ghosts of his past, Daniel must either be redeemed or perish.

Differences from the original game:

Amnesia VR is made possible by 1:1 reproduction of the entire game on the Unity engine;

Completely redesigned controls, carefully adapted to VR controllers – open doors, pull levers and turn valves as if the protagonist’s hands were yours;

Safe mode, similar to similar modes in other Frictional Games projects. Monsters in the castle do not exist, and events related to their appearance have been removed. The lantern does not consume oil when in use. For impressionable players who want to experience the atmosphere and story without hurting their souls;

PSX mode, which changes the game’s graphics and music to match the PlayStation 1’s aesthetic. Play this famous horror game as if it was released in the 90s.
