Hi, I’m Max! I’ve been developing this mod since 2017 with the help of some lovely people. Now it’s finally on Steam!

It is highly configurable and supports all past, present, and future VR hardware by leveraging SteamVR’s VR input system. Default input bindings are included for some controller types, but depending on your needs, you may wish to select community-made bindings or configure your own. You can play sitting or standing, using free movement or teleportation, touch buttons, grab bars and climb ladders. Oh, and catch, throw, and play baseball with the headcrabs.

I really want to give a shout out to Rorin, Formic.Sapien and DoomMarine23 for their help with this mod in both the 2D and 3D departments, especially the beautiful 6DoF weapon models, high resolution textures, amazing VR hands and female scientists. And outstanding voiceover artist Katie Otten re-recorded all of the original scientists’ voice lines specifically for this mod, making Black Mesa’s promise of an “equal opportunity employer” finally come true.

If you don’t want any flash, you can enable “Classic Mode” in the settings and dive into an unaltered 1998 vanilla experience with SD models and crisp, crisp low-res textures (no muddy blur nonsense!) – only in VR.
