Step inside Michael Faraday’s 19th-century laboratory and interact with electromagnetic experiments using the OculusQuest or Rift.
Take yourself back to 1855 and return to the lecture hall of Michael Faraday, the experimental physicist who made important discoveries around electromagnetism. Together with Scottish mathematical physicist James Clerk Maxwell, you’ll be able to visualize and interact with magnetic forces in action like never before.
Put on a “Dyson hat” and look at the invisible forces – the mathematical structures superimposed on reality. We were inspired by Professor Freeman Dyson’s paper to design this hat to visualize the two-tiered structure of the world – the reality that satisfies mathematical equations and the reality that we can touch.
Pick up two bar magnets and feel the magnetic field. A bar magnet is used to generate an electric current from a spiral coil. Do you know why the direction of the current changes?
